In the wonderful Sala Bianca of the Pitti Palace in Florence a very special exibit is on. Several art works, some of them really masterpieces, are shown in order to celebrate the 40 anniversary of the Carabinieri special corpse defending the artistic estate of Italy. The paintings and objects on show were infact stolen in different moments and places: from churches, monasteries and even museums and then recuperated by the "Arma". Among them, surely the most famous is the Madonna from Senigallia by Piero dela Francesca.
The exibition will end on April 6th, 2010.
