The Grand Price Ferdinand de’ Medici (1663-1713) Collector and Patron.
Since June 25  2013 at the Uffizi Gallery of Florence you can appreciate a wonderful exhibition: The Grand Price Ferdinand de’ Medici (1663-1713) Collector and Patron.
Ferdinand, son of Cosimo III and of Marguerite Louise d’Orleans since he was  young had several passions: among them:  theatre, music and figurative arts.
The exhibition is divided into sections to give a better idea about his interests and his choices which carried to Florence, between the end of the XVII century and the beginning of the XVIII century, the most famous musicians, painters and sculptors of the time.
There is a section dedicated to the expansion of the Pitti Palace, of the Pergola Theatre and of the Cathedral of Florence on the occasion of Ferdinad’s wedding with Violante di Bavaria and another one dedicated to his favourite villa: Villa di Poggio a Caiano.
Do not miss this exhibit, reserve a private tour with your art expert and official guide of Florence who will show all  the masterpieces of the Uffizi Gallery!
Until November 3  2013
