The famous David by Donatello stands again in the middle of the Salone del Consiglio in the Bargello Museum in Florence after a long and careful restoration. The cleaning of the bronze surface of the statue recuperated the original color under a dark patina and pointed out impressive details and an excellent tecnique in using the cold chisel. Visiting the museum, one of the most beautiful of Florence, you may have the opportunity of appreciating other masterpieces of the Florentine Renaissance, such as Donatello's Saint George in the original marble nich and Donatello's Amore-Attis, the David by Verrocchio, the famous Bacchus and the Brutus by Michelangelo and the so called Bacchino by Giambologna.
