Tomorrow, February 23 2012, on the occasion of the 5th centenary of Amerigo Vespucci’s death, in Ognissanti Square in Florence, the Major Matteo Renzo will start the celebrations for  Vespucci’s Year.  At  10:30 am,  just in front of the Hospital of San Giovanni di Dio, once belonged to one of Amerigo’s ancestors all the Florentine authorities,  the consul of the United States Mary Ellen Countrymen,  the Prsident of the Vespucci’s Committee Massimo Ruffilli and the Navy Band will be present.
