The ancient tradition of the Explosion of the Charriot dates back to the Crusades, when a noble Florentine of the Pazzi family brought from Jerusalem a few pieces of flintstone of the Holy Sepulcrum. Since that moment we started lighting the candles on Holy Saturday. On Easter day, this year is on April 20th,  an enormous charriot pulled by four oxes crossed the city in a slow procession which ends in front of the Cathedral. The Charriot full of fireworks is then connected to the main altar through a wire; at the moment of the "Glory" a little fuse in shape of a dove, is light up and "running" on the wire, hits the Charriot outside creating the explosion of the fireworks!
