This is the best moment of the year for visiting gardens and Florence offers an incredible choice. Surely the best and most famous is the Boboli garden, behind the Pitti Palace. Probably not everybody knows that with the same ticket you can visit Boboli, the Museum of the Porcelaine and going up to the Belvedere Fortress you can exit and get down the other side of the hill crossing the Bardini Garden. It is another wondeerful garden from which you may have the best view of the city of Florence.
Just outside the city centre, moving North-West, you cannot miss two famous Medici villas: Villa Petraia e Villa di Castello with their gorgeous italian gardens full of flowes and lemon plants, traditionally beloved by the Medici family. On the North-East side of the florentine hills, in Settignano, you can visit another precious garden, the Villa Gamberaia garden. Smaller but very nice, always taken as an example of perfect proportions by scholars of landscape. Enjoy your visit with an expert official local guide, it will be easier!
