The wonderful portrait by Titian called "La Bella" (the beautiful lady) is back to the Pitti Palace of Florence after a long and difficult restoration. On this occasion a nice and peculiar exhibition will be at the Palatina Gallery of the Pitti Palace from April 11 2011 until July 10 2011. Occasionally the Kunsthistorisches Museum of Wien lends another portrait by Tizian, very close to La Bella, The lady with the fur coat. According to scholars in fact  the girl used as a model is absolutely the same. In the exihibition even the Portrait of Francesco Maria della Rovere from the Uffizi Gallery together with the preparatory drawing. The restoration, done by the Opificio delle Pietre Dure di Firenze, included a wide scientific research, a clearing to remove not original vernish, additional shades and repainted areas.
