Macchiaoli at Villa Bardini

Macchiaoli at Villa Bardini
Until October 30  2011 at the Villa Bardini in Florence people can admire a very nice exhibition  about the Macchiaioli.  Italian  painters, mainly from Tuscany,  living in the XIX century,  who are considered forerunners of the Impressionists. The exhibit consists of a selection of paintings showing different subjects such as, sunny and country landscapes, marine, portraits of young women and boys,  works of Giovanni Fattori, Telemaco Signorini, Silvestro Lega and Plinio Nomellini. It is a great opportunity of appreciating these great painters, almost unknown outside Italy, but very famous here, because of their ability in producing incredible sensations. Do not miss the breathtaking view of the city of Florence from the windows of Villa Bardini, or much better, do visit the Bardini Garden. Your private official guide may be very helpful!
