The splendid Madonna and Child from the Church of San Giorgio alla Costa, painted by Giotto between 1288 and 1295, is visible again at the Opera del Duomo Museum. Originally preserved at the Museo Diocesano of Santo Stefano al Ponte, it was damaged in 1993 because of the bomb in the nearby Via dei Georgofili (behind the Uffizi Gallery.  A great opportunity to take, together with your official local guide of Florence.
