From May 4  2012   until  10 June  2012   the 75th Maggio Musicale Fiorentino  ( Florentine Music Festival)  opens with Richard Strauss  Der Rosenkavalier, directed by Eike Gramss., Orchestra director Zubin Metha who this year is going to celebrate his 50 anniverary on the Florentine music stand.
The Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Festival  wants to celebrate Amerigo Vespucci in the 5th centenary of his death, with the subject of the travel: from Mitteleurope to Latin America.
