The Antinori lunetta at the Bargello Museum in Florence

Until  April 8 2018 at the National Museum of Bargello in Florence, it will be possible to admire the “Antinori lunetta”, the glaced terracotta masterpiece Giovanni della Robbia made at the beginning of the XVI century under the commission of Niccolò di Tommaso Antinori. Today the lunetta is property of the Brooklyn Museum and it comes back to Florence after many years and after an important restoration made in the United States  and supported by the Antinori family.
The Antinory family, inside the Antinory Art Project ( research platform for visive arts and contemporary artists) has commissioned to Stefano Arienti, an Italian international artist, a project to create a dialogue with the Reinassance masterpiece by Della Robbia. In a room  of the Bargello Museum, nearby the place where the Antinori Lunetta is shown, Arienti’s installation called “Scena Fissa” ( Fixed scene) is part of the exhibition From Brooklyn to the Barghello: Giovanni della Robbia, the Antinori Lunetta and Stefano Arienti .
