The restoration of the Baptistery of Florence is starting and it is supported by the Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore for a total amount of one million and eight hundred  euros. It concernes the cleaning of the marble decoration (white marble, green marble and porfiry) of the eight faces of the building. The last restoration was almost 70 years ago during the period between 1938 and 1944. It will be finished by Summer 2015.
