The Crucifix by Benedetto da Maiano was back on the main altar  of the Cathedral of Florence,  after a restoration which lasted  four years. The restoration has found out the original polycromy which was covered during the XIX century when they wanted to give the illusion of a bronze crucifix. A new blue  band  around the hips, similar to the original one, was recreated, giving the statue of Christ  a beautiful effect.
