Three crosses in the Bapstistery of Florence

Three crosses in the Bapstistery of Florence
Since  November 2 2012 until November 11  2012 on the occasion of the event Florens 2012  (International Biennial Event of Cultural and Environmental  Heritage) it will be possible seeing inside the Baptistery of Florence the show of three very famous wooden crucifixes, made by some of the most important artist of Renaissance:   Donatello, Brunelleschi and Michelangelo. The exhibition is called Mysterium Crucis – The Mystery of the Cross.
It is a unique opportunity of seeing the three crosses all together because they  are preserved in different churches:  Donatello’s cross was made for the Franciscans of Santa Croce, Brunelleschi’s one was given to the Domenicans of Santa Maria Novella and the young Michelangelo made it for the Agostinians of Santo Spirito.
